- I have already started to improve the TSSA. I won against the EC a conference motion so the TSSA will now set a sustainable budget. This is just the start of good governance that I will introduce.
- I led on a campaign with the General Secretary that got members a better pay increase.
- I was a young member when I became the chair of a Branch. I know the struggles that young members face getting involved and challenging the status-quo. I will continue to seek ways to unblock and remove the unfair barriers for young members
- I’ve held volunteer roles in other membership organisations – I will continue to bring in good practice from outside the union movement.
- Professionally I have led on transformation and change (for safety). I have manged strategic risks for whole-industry change. Exactly the skills and experience now required to improve the TSSA.
