Election Statement

The TSSA has been in trouble for a number of years with scandals appearing in the national news. The rail industry is about to see the biggest change since privatisation, and the cost-of-living crisis is far from over. If the TSSA is to meet these challenges, and secure a good deal for you – it needs to modernise and put delivery for you – it’s members first.

As a new EC member, I have championed for greater transparency, financial responsibility, greater member involvement in decision-making, and a clear strategic plan backed by costed proposals. But to see the change we need – I believe we need new and fresh leadership – with professional experience.

I pledge to work for a Union that:

  1. Role models the highest standards of behaviour, as we expect from our employers.
  2. Is transparent and adopts modern management practices.
  3. Is a safe workplace, free from bullying and harassment for all staff top to bottom.
  4. Is truly accountable to its members.
  5. Works with everyone to make our industry better for its passengers and working conditions better for you.

Unions work, lets create together a TSSA that works for you.
